Trip Overview

The Langtang Valley Trek, often called the "Valley of Glaciers," is a spectacular journey north of Kathmandu, bordering Tibet. It offers a diverse experience combining lush forests, alpine meadows, powerful glaciers, and high mountain passes—all within a relatively short timeframe. The region was severely affected by the 2015 earthquake but has shown remarkable resilience, with communities and teahouses rebuilt. Trekkers are welcomed by the warm Tamang and Sherpa people, whose culture and architecture reflect their Tibetan roots. The trek culminates atKyanjin Gompa, with optional ascents to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri for breathtaking panoramic views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and surrounding peaks.
